“A Guide to e-Government” book was published in October in Bulgaria.
Its authors, Bojil Dobrev and Eleonora Getsova (the latter is one of the
owners and managers of ELISA CONSULT) are well experienced respectively in
development of e-Government in Bulgaria and in related international
projects.
"A Guide to Electronic Government" is intended for managers and employees of
the public administration at different levels, information technology
experts, students, scholars, and all participants in Bulgaria's electronic
government development. It contains 100 answers to 10 questions concerning
electronic government - applications, development factors, results, problems
and solutions, practical steps for development, and over 100 best practice
cases from 30 countries in Europe and the world. The book explains the
policy and practice of the European Union, as well as solutions concerning
electronic government by Hewlett Packard, IBM, Microsoft, and Novell. There
is an English-Bulgarian glossary with over 330 entries and an index of 160
Internet sites that have to do with electronic government.
Alma Mons, the Regional Development Agency in Novi Sad , Serbia , organized and hosted the third training course on Competitive project proposal development delivered by ELISA CONSULT. Representatives of the largest public and private Universities in the country took part in the training along with representatives of the local public administrations. In three consecutive days in the end of October the trainees succeeded to develop the outline of their individual project proposals, whose topics varied from Information technologies and Software development, through introduction of the EU standards in wine production, to preservation of the traditional customs and crafts of the Slovak minority in the region. Of course, supported by the mentoring team of ELISA CONSULT. We appreciate very much the efforts of all participants! Without their commitment the training would never be so successful! We would like to express our gratitude to them and to the staff of Alma Mons for the best possible working environment and perfect organization of the training! Actually, our trainees were so much “absorbed” by their work that they did not notice our camera…Now, they can see themselves “documented”. Gallery |
